“My Biggest obstacle is figuring out what people like and what’s hot at the moment because fashion changes fast so u have to keep up with the fads and keep up with what’s hot but also you have to keep your own originality too.”

“So far my biggest accomplishment was that I stopped talking about starting a clothing line and actually put it in motion by investing my time and money into it and seeing the pay off that has come behind it.”


Derrick explains his biggest obstacle so far with running his own apparel company:

“My way of solving this is to stay in the fashion world and just know what’s hot and what people are actually looking for. I personally make a lot of items according to most sneaker releases because of course people need things to match their shoes.”

Don’t think that asking everybody how they did and just merely following what they did will help you get where they are now.”
