Yes we all know that Taraji P. Henson has killed numerous roles including Yvette from Baby Boy & Cookie from Powe...I mean Empire (clearly you can tell what team we are 😅 cough cough #teampower) but can she throw down in the kitchen too?
Briana Cook (@cookesoiree ) , or Cook’e, as a lot of her clients like to call her, is the owner of Cook’e Soirée Gourmet Catering which is located in the Chicago land area.
She’s using her passion for culinary to warm the hearts AND tummies of many people from all sorts of different areas & backgrounds across the city of Chicago. She’s also a preferred caterer at the iconic Willis Tower, a 110-story sky scraper featuring expansive views of Chicago from its 103rd-story skydeck. This year she also got the opportunity to cater Excel Academics' Prom on the 99th floor.
“It still feels surreal . My child hood dream to become a caterer finally felt real that day.”
Rewind: The Journey
“My biggest obstacle was understanding that I cannot run a successful business without a team. I’ve tried to do it on my own. It leaves me tired and unable to take on multiple events. Lack of a team taught me one thing..prevention of growth. So I put faith in God and hired a dishwasher , and servers.
Sometimes I didn’t pay my self, investing in the#business and making sure my staff was paid minimum wage . However, the outcome has surpassed the initial #struggle. My business has grown more than ever financially & physically.”
