Turning Pain Into Purpose: How This CEO and Author Did It and How You Can Too

Updated: Jan 12, 2019

“The biggest obstacle I’ve faced was writing my book and having to tap back into one of the darkest moments of my life to capture the depth of the lesson. What I went through was bigger than me. I knew for sure it was a message that everyone had to receive.”

Modi, 25, (@Justmodi__) is the CEO of Premier Child care centers in Chicago, Illinois and is also the author of the Summer's hottest new book Some Women Prefer Hell.

💪

The book is a novel based on real-life events that Modi wrote at a time when she “needed to become her own hero”.

“Some Women Prefer Hell” ultimately tells the story of a mother and daughter who are both hooked on the same drug. An abusive, manipulative boyfriend by the name of Mike. The book shows first hand how a parent has the ability to pass more than just their DNA to their child, but sometimes their habits and their ways, in this case especially, are not for the best. This story will evoke laughter, frustration, anger, and even tears as it journeys through situations that are, sadly, too familiar and relate-able for far too many. “My advice for anyone chasing their dreams is to be themselves. Do you at all cost, stay true to your heart and your morals and don’t fold for nobody. Expectation can kill you, follow your dreams and trust the process. The journey is the best part…”
