Wardrobe Stylist, Web Designer, and Memphis, Tennessee native, Sal (@salsogroovy) , is dominating the Chicago art scene. With her unconventional eye and avant-garde creations, she’s able to tell a story without ever having to use a pen and paper.
“I'm Sal.. I'm from Memphis, Tennessee. I'm a wardrobe artist, web designer, and whatever else I decide. I created @thelookauthority, which is a style platform focused on curating visual inspiration, highlighting stylish people, producing style stories, creating fashion objects, and providing vintage/ contemporary accessories.”
Rewind “So far, my biggest accomplishment was producing my installation show, Future Hues. I'm glad to have introduced an expansion of my artistic practice. I think every time I get a new styling or web design job it's an accomplishment because I get a new opportunity to perform at my best, communicate better, and learn from my previous experiences.”

I am also not from Chicago- I don't have family here which can be pretty lonely. But when I feel insecure or lonely I try to refocus that energy and create something cool."
