HDTV is no match for 23 year old Artist and Nigerian Native, Ayogu Kingsley (@ayogu.kingsley). Creating paintings that have an unheard of amount of detail, Ayogu puts a whole new meaning to the phrase, ‘what you see, is what you get’. However, he didn’t always have the tools needed in order to reach his greatest potential. Assembly was definitely required.

“My name is Ayogu Kingsley, I’m 23 years old, and I'm from Enugu, Nigeria. My most valued accompishment, so far? That’s a pretty tough one. I can’t pick a point, but I would just say God has been great. Me being featured on BBC and there's so many other things. Being amongst the top 25 artists in Nigeria, being in Buzzfeed's Hundred Hyperrealism Artists in the World. It makes me feel good & it makes me feel blessed.”

Rewind “When I first started off it was difficult getting funds for tools and getting the space to work, but I've overcome that challenge since then. The kinds of challenges that I have now are having plenty of ideas to work on. Because of that, you can get confused and depressed, but i'm working on that and I’m improving."

"Also, you have to improvise. You have to use what you have to get what you want. For me, during that time, I took a lot of commission and I did a lot of paintings for people to get the funds to get my own studio and that’s how I turned my fortune around.” “If you’re on any job or in any #profession, #strive to be the #best at what you do. I just want to be the biggest and best at what I do and even if I get halfway there, I’m ok and I’m satisfied with myself. Even if I don’t get there. Have patience, persistence, and hardwork and you'll get there."
